This was our first experience on a Cunard cruise and so opted for a short 5 night mini cruise to Amsterdam, Zeebrugge and Le Havre. The expectation was to enjoy the experience of a Cunard cruise rather than the ports of call.

Embarkation was a breeze. Turned up shortly after 1 o'clock, with a 1.30 recommended check in time. Had opted for parking via CPS so pulled up at the terminal, waited for about 15 minutes which was quite expected and acceptable. Offloaded luggage with a porter and made way to check in. A short wait experienced but many check in desks were open and we were turned around very efficently. Was in stateroom by 2pm and one item of luggage was awaiting and the other piece arrived shortly after.

We chose a balcony stateroom which we found to be spacious, clean and comfortable although the air conditioning was a minor irritant at night as there was no option to turn it off, just the ability to control the temperature. Plenty of storage available even though was only on board for 5 nights but still believe enough space for longer voyages.

Clean and comfortable and comparable in size to other ships. Enough storage space, good size shower cubicle, slightly noisy location as was directly opposite entrance to crew stairway access.
