I will start off by saying that I think a vacation is what you make of it. Sure there were some things I could complain about, but I wanted to have a good time. Not everything was perfect, but what vacation is!?

There were 10 of us that cruised on the Conquest and 6 of us were first time cruisers. DH (darling husband) and I live in Atlanta, but the rest of our group live in Baton Rouge. DH and I drove down Friday night to stay with my parents. Sunday morning we left around 9:00 and arrived at the Julia Street terminal around 11:00. This was chaos! The parking garages were closed due to construction and we were re-routed to an open parking lot. We got lost, twice. Finally we found the parking lot and boarded the shuttle with our 77 bags and headed to the ship. SHE IS HUGE! I was so excited and I couldn't wait to board.

The check-in process was fairly painless and very well organized. Be sure to fill out the Fun Pass prior to checking in, it makes the whole process much faster. After a short wait in the famous yellow chairs, we had our picture taken (the first of many pictures) and we were on board.
