All in all, we and our guests had a wonderful time. I was a little apprehensive about what our experience would be like due to all the problems we had with the booking agents and the wedding department. However, after all that, we had a great trip. I booked this cruise because I wanted a destination wedding. I felt that the price was more reasonable for my guests, than flying and staying weekly somewhere else, and they agreed. I canceled my reservation with their wedding department. I wanted my own photographer and the list of hotels that they had to choose from were not up to par. Also, they use a third party vendor to plan for you. I was not happy with that, so I did some research and booked with a resort directly.

I saved tons of money and got exactly what I wanted. The actual cruise was amazing, with the exception of the port of Progreso(old and run down). We had a party of 12 first time cruisers ranging from ages 20-50. Everyone seemed to have a great time. We did not do any excursions in Cozumel due to the wedding, but we did here some passengers complaining about the pricing. The rooms were nicer than I expected. I had read some reviews that were a bit scary, so I didn't expect much. I believe they have recently renovated. We had an Extended Balcony Suite. It was exquisite. Definitely worth the price. We had all of our 12 guests over one night to play "Taboo", and it accommodated all of us very well. There was always something for any age group to do. We were never bored. My husband and Aunt(beginner) won a great deal of money at the Blackjack table and the slots. Karaoke and the Comedy club was great. The dining experience was very good and entertaining. When they found out one of our guests was celebrating a birthday, and we were celebrating our wedding, they sang and danced for us and brought us wonderful desserts. The room crew was amazing. I asked one of the gentlemen if he could make a towel animal of an elephant for my husband, and he happily obliged.

Even though we had prepaid our gratuity, we were happy to give them more. Seriously, they absolutely deserved it. For a first time cruise it was a great way to spend 6 days. I do recommend bringing a case of soda or water if you are particular about that, soda is about $2.75 per can, and we had quite a few. They do offer an unlimited soda card, but we found out about it too late. Also, bring a power strip because there are very few plugs. Our suite had 3- one on the vanity, one in the bathroom, and one by the lamp. I also recommend getting the vacation protection. We were not able to dock on the 5th day due to fog. We had to cruise around the port all night. Of course we didn't mind, they were very accommodating. They allowed all passengers to have free access to the internet and make unlimited calls. My sister was the only one who flew in, but thankfully she had the vacation protection and they refunded her for her return flight and found her another.

Cabin Review

Extended Balcony Grand Suite

Cabin ES

We were in an Grand Suite with the extended balcony. It was very nice, kind of pricy, but worth it.

Bathroom- Marble countertops, whirlpool bath and shower, adequate space.

Room- large bed, plenty of vents for air conditioning; pull out sofa; double vanity; plenty of lighting, flat screen tv, mini fridge.

Closet- small, but lots of storage; also storage on vanity.

Balcony- very large, fit 6 adult men easily with tons of breathing room.

Room location was centered mid-ship, felt very little movement. Very quiet and intimate.
