Background Info: It is just the two of us. We live on the lakeshore in Northeast Wisconsin. My husband, 41 and I, 37. We have no children (unless you count the dog). We love to travel and we have tried the all-inclusive resort thing in Cancun and did not like it all. This was our 4th cruise and we can't wait to go on our next one!

Travel to Pre-Cruise Hotel: We flew from Milwaukee to Ft Lauderdale on AirTran. It was 20 degrees when we left Wisconsin and 82 degrees when we got to Ft Lauderdale. Flight left on-time. I do believe we were in a holding pattern for a little while upon arrival to Ft Lauderdale. No problems here.

Pre-Cruise Hotel: We stayed in Ft Lauderdale at the Crowne Plaza Airport/Cruise. It was right across from the airport and we were able to see the Oasis of the Seas from our hotel window. We had a King room - very nice. Huge bed, nice bathroom with a large shower. The shower was actually so big, it would have been nice to have a shower head on both sides. They had a complimentary "goodie" bag on the bed that contained a sleep mask, earplugs, and scented linen spray - a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable, although neither of us slept very well - I think due to the anticipation of the cruise the next day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay at the Crowne Plaza again. The only negative here was the cost of the food from the hotel restaurant. We ordered room service on Saturday afternoon/early evening after arriving and then ate breakfast in the restaraunt on Sunday morning. The total for the two meals: about $80 with tips. It may not be alot for some, but to us, it was outrageous! $50 for two burgers and fries?? That's crazy! Travel to Port of Embarkation: We used SAS to get from Ft Lauderdale to Miami. $30 for the two of us. Nice driver. Fast, easy ride to Miami. We would recommend SAS to anyone. Unfortunaley, my husband was not able to see Andrea from the show "Police Women of Broward County" while in Ft Lauderdale. Oh well, maybe next time.

Cabin Review

Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SE

Forward Penthouse #9500:

Great view, huge room, huge closet, vanity area, sitting area, dining area, incredibly large balcony, somewhat windy, very windy at times, can be noisy at night when there are shows and/or music in the Stardust theater, it is all the way forward, so have to walk a ways to get to most things (not necessarily a bad thing), you do look at the STYLE pool (for the crew) and the crew does go to the space in the bow to smoke, make phone calls and sunbathe (again not necessarily a bad thing).
