We were quite happy with our Oct. 30th cruise on Summit. We had cruised one other time on Summit about 5 years ago in Alaska and we thought she still looked very good. The ship has been maintained very well. We did not notice any areas that needed major attention.
We had a veranda cabin port side mid-ship on deck seven. The cabin was in excellent shape and kept spotless by our very efficient cabin attendant. The only complaint I would have about the cabin was that the fridge did not keep our water and wine quite cold enough but that was a minor thing. Storage was more than adequate and the bathroom was in excellent condition.
We found the food to be very good to excellent. We had room service breakfast most every morning and ate on our veranda. The room service was always on time, always hot and always exactly what we ordered. We did have breakfast twice in the Waterfall cafe and it was very good and a broad selection. We had late seating in the main dining room on the 4th deck level starboard side (table was 4xx can not recall the exact number). The food in the MDR was always very good and we had no complaints about the food. However we were not real happy with our waiter. He was just too "fast" about describing the selections and also when delivering the food, but seemed to be a bit slow at actually getting the orders placed and delivered to the MDR. Out assistant waiter was more than excellent and she should soon be promoted to waiter. She was very efficient and had a wonderful personality. If you cruise on Summit hope you get Anna from Ukraine as your assistant waiter!
Lots of storage, nice layout, quiet.
