I am sorry to say that in spite of fabulous food, a wonderful cabin and food crew, and amazing staterooms, I would never go on an Oceania Cruise again. The management staff (with the exception of the concierge) as non-existent. The support staff at the desks were not only rude and uncaring, they would not go one step further than absolutely necessary to correct a horrible situation. Things happen (such as not being able to dock in either Lisbon, Porto or Guernsey) that was beyond the company’s control. However, their reaction to these events was appalling for a supposedly first rate cruise company.
Simply the fact that while we were stuck in Cadiz for a 2nd day, they could not even suggest alternatives or provide private tour numbers for a day trip to Seville or somewhere else close by shows their lack of interest in the guests (is that what we were?) needs. And the next day these same people told us, it was our fault as we did not ask the concierge? How were we to know one desk could and one desk could not!
The final straw was the charge of $199 per person of a Bordeaux Sampler. This was a bus ride of 1 ½ hours into downtown with no tour attached! Not much of a sampler of what is supposed to be a beautiful city.
Cabin was beautiful. Lots of room, hangers and drawers.
