This was our first River cruise. Viking did an amazing job making this a very enjoyable experience. The food was excellent and the desserts exceptional. Every excursion was well planned and informative. Viking made sure that our arrival and departure went as smooth as possible.

Some of the issues included travel arrangements. We had our flights changed several times, our seats changed several times and a few times, no seats. This caused a lot of anxiety on our part. We had to go to United directly to take care of these issues even though Viking was handling the flights.

Excursions were nice however that is if you like churches. We visited churches on each excursion. The walking involved was easy on the most part. We did not have enough free time for shopping or eating at local restaurants. We did have the most free time in Speyer however it was Sunday and all the shops were closed.

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Although small at first it was easy to get used to. The bed was a bit hard for me but fine for my husband. The room attendant did a wonderful job keeping our cabin neat and clean. Lots of space for clothing and personal items. Suitcases fit fine under the bed.
