We chose this cruise because it had ports on Singapore, Indonesia and Australia. We had read many great reviews about Regent having sailed on Oceania the sister company now owned by NCL. This ship was supposed to be a trip of life time. Embarkation was delayed due to disorganized by Regent at the port in Singapore. When we finally were bused to the port passengers were still getting off. Regent didn’t have proper paperwork and then a crew change, When we arrived to our suite the bathroom had a moldy smell as well as moldy grout in the shower. The bathroom counters had permanent water stains, the closet and the bath had inches of dust and dirt that have never been cleaned. We weren’t met by our cabin steward until two hours later so we removed the top bedspread ourselves(not for sleeping). Service in our cabin was almost non existent from the time we embarked to the end of the cruise. We consistently had to keep requesting basic items ex:towels, coffee, pen, items for the mini fridge etc.
During our cruise they have water that is filtered on the ship. It tasted like mold as well. We mentioned all of these things to the desk with no response. Every time we went to the reception desk they were rude, unhelpful and surly. The excursion desk was unorganized and every time we called they were not available even on seas days. The internet is non-existent which is very frustrating since that is also an included feature. Understanding that cruise ships still sometimes have black out service but, this one of the worst we have ever encountered.
You never saw the crew cleaning. Not ever during a 17 days cruise. No wiping down of the handrails, the deck nothing!! You would think that given the current issues with Covid and other illnesses this would have been a priority.
