My wife is of Scandinavian descent so we wanted to see the fjords of Norway and touch Denmark. We were able to cruise up close to very small villages and experience the friendly atmosphere of the country. The small cruise ship is the perfect size. The food selection is incredible and service is top notch. Service on Viking ships is more personal than any other cruise line we have been on. When you return from an excursion the wine steward hands you your favorite cocktail with a greeting to welcome you back on board. The excursion guides exceptional with perfect English and knowledge which they are able to professionally explain. I enthusiastically recommend Viking for all cruising vacations. We are booked on our second river cruise on the Rhine with a three day extension on Lake Como in August. All travel restrictions are lifted so no Covid tests are required.
