I chose it for the variety of ports, and we wanted to see St Peter's basilica in Rome. Unfortunatly my husband hurt his bag pushing luggage, so we took it easy. I did the Royal Up and won the bid for an Owners Suite...lovely with nice perks to go along with it. Our stateroom attendant, Claude, was very nice, and did a great job. Always a smiling hello from him. He kept ice water in our ice bucket at all times, made wonderful towel animals.

Ports Vatican shut down for Nov 1 (All Saints Day) and the train was on strike, so that was a disappointment. Toulon France was lovley, as was Portofino. We didn't do much in Corsica. Our only excursion that we did not cancel was Palermo, Sicily. I was very disappointed at this port. We had been to Messina Sicily and went to Taormina in the past (which was gorgeous) so we though Palermo would be similar. NOT! It was dirty. Garbage in the streets ( I thought it was garbage pick up day). The beach was nice, keep the rest.

Every night we ate in the MDR, food was great as were the waiters, Dixit and his helper. Did not see any of the entertainment.

Owner's Suite

Room was huge with nice shampoo that I ended up buying when we came home. Had many naps on our beautiful balcony. Too many chairs in the room. 7 chairs for 2 people, plus a sectional couch cracked us up. I did enjoy the jetted tub and the shower stall. Having 2 sinks was great.
