Overall, and based on this cruise, I would say Princess’ standards are slipping. There are minor cut backs chipping away around the edges of what used to be a premium cruise line, perhaps due to the struggling parent company.

The Good

The room (mini-suite) was great, though I don’t know why they still use shower curtains. Perhaps that is because of the tub, and reduces cleaning? The only other minor issue is the overly bright sensor light in the wardrobe area which would sporadically come on at night. It was interesting to see the solutions people would come up with – personally I placed a couple band aids over the sensor (protrusion on the side of the light fixture), which I removed at the end of the trip.
