Sail Date: Dec 2022
Cabin: Deluxe Balcony
Traveled with children

We sailed on MSC Seascape 18-26 Dec 2022 from Miami to Caribbean. I booked the luxury balcony cabin which we found average and very tight. We couldn't store our bags and were hardly walk around the cabin. The buffet was always crowded with long lines and repeated food. Bad food quality and food shortage during the breakfast happened everyday. Many food booths in the buffet closed before the eating time ends because of food shortage.

We were assigned one table in one restaurant for dinner. The food quality was average with some days cold or overcooked. We had to wait long times until our dinner is served which made us choose to go to the buffet in some days. The service was too bad and many times we were given wrong information from the crew. For example, we were given wrong last minute embarkation timing to be 5 pm. We arrived at 4:20 and they told us the last time to get into the cruise is 4:30. This put us on great pressure as I had to return my rented car and I thought I have until 5 pm.

The entertainment shows on the cruise was very bad and have sound/light technical issues. There were only 4 shows and 2 standups. The departure and arrival timing on all days were incorrect. For example, we should leave Ocean Cay island at 10 pm, and they changes it to 5:30 and cancelled many events without notices. Same happen in Porto Plata.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony

The cabin area was too small. We couldn't store our bags anywhere in the cabin. It is very hard to walk from the narrow entrance. It was also very hard to set on the toilet without opening the cabinet door under the sink. The bed was too close to the wardrobe so we had to jump over the bed to get our clothes.
