We chose Viking because we previously enjoyed a river cruise and an ocean cruise. Viking does not disappoint! Our stateroom was beautiful and the ports (with excursions) were fun and interesting. Our stateroom personnel (Tito and Allen) were VERY competent and attentive - our room was cleaned twice a day (I am spoiled!). We enjoyed three very fun and informative wine tastings, thanks to wine steward, Vladim. We enjoyed seeing Argentina, Chile and Uruguay and learning from residents of each about their history, culture, and life styles.

Viking is VERY cautious about CoVid. We were tested each morning.

The dining options are terrific. Our favorite was the World Cafe, which offered great choices in a buffet atmosphere. We spent several evenings in the Explorers' Lounge, enjoying Michael's music. The evening shows were great and varied. Personally, I was very happy with the beautiful Christmas decorations since we were away from all the celebrations at home. The gingerbread house were wonderful.

Cabin Review

Beautiful stateroom at the stern with a wrap-around deck. The views from our stateroom were amazing.
