Sail Date: Nov 2022

We had previously sailed on 3 Viking river cruises. Our next-door neighbor told us that Viking ocean cruises were the tops in luxury, so we thought we'd take make our first ocean cruise a big one.

Thank goodness we purchased the Viking Air as a hurricane was hitting Florida on the day we were supposed to fly out with a connecting flight in Miami. Viking took the initiative and rerouted us through JFK. We landed in Barcelona on time and were met in baggage claim by Viking staff. The transfers to the ship and embarkation went smoothly. We did have to wait in the ship's common areas for several hours before our stateroom was ready.

Barcelona and Malago visits and excursions went off without a hitch. We went on the Gaudi tour in Barcelona and recommend it highly. We went on two excursions in Malaga and thought they were great.

Cabin Review

Our stateroom had a king-sized bed with a nightstand on either side. Two upholstered chairs, a coffee table, a desk, and a desk chair fit comfortably in the stateroom There was plenty of closet space and plenty of drawers for our stuff. The bathroom was roomy with drawers for our toiletries.

We had a veranda stateroom on deck 4. The veranda had two chairs and a table.

Our stateroom attendants were really on top of things We got daily linen changes and a turndown service at night. Our mini-fridge was restocked daily with snacks and soft drinks. Housekeeping was flawless.
