Liked itinerary & have traveled with Viking on river & ocean cruises in past. We were originally scheduled for this time on Viking Homeland cruise but due to Russia’s attack on Ukraine the itinerary changed & had concerns for safety in that area. The trip on Viking Sea was true to Viking past experiences & same top quality. The cruise director Kate Syrett was excellent as well as the musicians & the assistant cruise director. The assistant cruise director was on our last ocean cruise with Viking & glad to see & hear her perform on this ship.The cleanliness of staff & ship was wonderful. The food & drink quality was Viking consistently great. Gloria who manned the dessert station made it wonderful & set the bar for service. There were new restaurant servers & some were ok but some exceeded the bar in service. Like that Viking cross trains & promotes & utilizes their staff well. We had Viking include our air travel & we had no issues. I’m sure they keep Lufthansa accountable. We had a previous trip with another travel company & the airfare was a nightmare. Viking & Lufthansa restored our faith in the air travel with this trip. Viking has maintained their quality & customer service even through Covid! Enjoyed our trip & will continue to travel with Viking. The ship’s captain was excellent. The crew on Viking Sea did an excellent job from start to finish!
Cabin Review
Deluxe Veranda Stateroom
Exceptionally clean & Well appointed & cabin service very good. Responded to questions & needs. We had an issue with the shower head not being able to be adjusted to stay in one place & was addressed but think the shower attachment may need replacement. Items restocked in fridge as needed. Loved the views from the veranda. Comfortable temperature In room. Sufficient room for storage of suitcases & clothing.

Barcelona
The itinerary was reason for choice. Barcelona was ok but was disappointed based on the hype had heard about it. The Sagrada Familia was a highlight. We tried to get info to ride the gondola but was unable to get info from Viking’s excursion staff as well as from travel people in Barcelona. We would have enjoyed seeing Barcelona from above on this.
Monaco (Monte Carlo)
Beautiful port & country. The scenes from the palace area as well as port side were beautiful. Our tour guide for our excursion was interesting & informative. She also did a trip to Nice which we thoroughly enjoyed. Beautiful scenery from Monaco to Nice.
Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik was as beautiful as last visit there!
Loved seeing Sicily from ship as we cruised through Messina area.
Florence (Livorno)
Port very nice. We did excursion from Livorno to Pisa. Great countryside views on way to Pisa. Pisa was a great area to see history & beautiful buildings preserved. Port was clean & had great views.
Corfu
As beautiful as from our last visit. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4x4 excursion up into the mountain area above Corfu. Was beautiful countryside & loved the small villages.
