My wife and I wanted to try a river cruise for the first time. We booked Viking 7-8 day Danube Waltz cruise and were on the Viking Ingvi. We were very satisfied with the whole cruise, starting from the inbound flight, to transfers, to embarkation, along all the stops, the disembarkation, and post-cruise extension. Onboard services were excellent, from breakfasts, to lunches, and dinners, as well as the public areas, like the lounge, library, top deck, and herb garden. The restaurants were nicely decorated, and the foods were prepared fresh and tasted delicious, including the regional dishes as well. All the included excursions were really nice and good pace, not rush. Post-cruise extension in Budapest were excellent too.

Daily COVID testing (via saliva sample) was convenient and gave strong safety feeling.

Overall we were very happy to select Viking for our first river cruise experience and looking forward to the next one on Viking.
