We have Platinum Elite status and have had many very happy experiences with Princess. We have cruised on the Ruby's 2 sister ships and loved both. This cruise started off very bad. We had priority boarding which took an hour with crowded conditions. Almost no one had masks. Some took 3 1/2 hours to get on board later in the day. The ship had 2800 passengers. Everywhere was crowded and very uncomfortable. We avoided the buffet as we witnessed passengers cough into their hands then touch food, take food and eat in line and put food onto their plate then put it back. The staff was wonderful and all wore masks. There just were not enough of them. Finally after going through proper channels to talk with a supervisor at the passenger service desk I was put in touch with a supervisor after threatening a tantrum in public. I voiced my concerns and gave specific examples. We were scheduled to stay on the ship and do the next cruise into Alaska. We almost cancelled losing the $$ because we were that unhappy and concerned about our health. This would have been our only Princess experience had we not sailed with them many times before.a This ship has been investigated for excessive Covid cases.
