My brother and I took this cruise. He has never cruised before. I am Platinum with NCL. It was my first cruise back since the Pandemic hit. I was on the last cruise that NCL sailed in March of 2020. This cruise has been booked, cancelled and re-booked numerous times over the past 2 years, so I was glad to finally be able to go.
I was still a bit nervous about sailing, as the pandemic seems to continue merrily along, but was very pleased with the actions being taken by NCL to protect us all. The ship was immaculate, crews constantly cleaning all around. Many people continued to wear masks all the time, as I did.
There were a few things that could bear improvement. The first was embarkation. As a Platinum level guest with NCL and a Ruby tier player in their casino players club, we should have been given priority embarkation, tender tickets, disembarkation, etc. When I asked several people about this on embarkation day, no one seemed to know anything about it. This was a constant during the whole cruise. It is a faux perk. Embarkation was chaotic at best. We were all given embarkation group numbers, but they could have saved the effort. Everyone parked in front of the door, and when group one was called, everyone rushed the door regardless of group number. It was very unpleasant and created a stressful situation, not exactly the way you want to start your vacation.

Very little to do here, no shade, not worth the tender wait times.
One of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean in my opinion
Upcharge for chairs and umbrellas at a very crowded beach simply not worth it.
Love the big new NCL terminal there, just hated the embarkation process.
