We had the best weather and smooth sailing during this entire week. I enjoyed our voyage on the Spirit this year much better than last year. I think it was because I knew exactly what to expect as far as the size of the ship and the layout of everything. The food in the buffet was much better than I thought it was going to be and we actually even ate there for dinner a couple of nights. They had mussels and large shrimp cocktail in the buffet and I never saw it on the menu in the dining room (just the little mini shrimp). The one stand out of this ship is the friendliness of the service staff on board. Although service in the dining rooms was very slow, it was not due to their not wanting to please. We did not eat in any of the speciality restaurants so I cannot comment on their service. We had a nice cruise critic meet and greet and it was fun to meet all the people from our roll call. We booked the same room as last year as it was very conveniently located and in a quiet location. I absolutely love the bed on this ship, it is the most comfortable that I have ever slept on in over 15 cruises. The shower in the bathroom is spacious but the toilet area leaves alot to be desired. Our room steward kept our space immaculate at all times and was not intrusive. We went to just about every evening show. The acrobats are not to be missed! and the final show "Elements" was spectacular. The rock and roll show was hideously loud and several people walked out due to the continuous pounding. They need to turn it down a notch. Same thing with the music around the pool, it starts off great in the morning and then revs up to where you can't hear yourself think! This cruise carried a much older crowd than we have normally seen out of Boston, but since we are on the cusp of that age bracket it didn't bother us at all. Bermuda was lovely as always however it was sad to see how many shops were closed in St. George. I truly miss docking on that side of the island. Disembarkation was smooth and we were in a cab by 8 AM. Would I sail this ship again, absolutely. I do wish that a cruise line would offer a different destination from Boston to somewhere warm.

Great location; very quiet, adequate size. TV could be bigger; would prefer safe up higher than on the floor.
