Overall 5/5. We did not expect the Canary Islands itinerary to be the most interesting, as we have stayed on most of the islands before, but it was just great to be travelling again and we enjoyed it more than we expected to. Our first cruise with Azamara and one of our favourite ships to date. It was our 26th cruise. We considered staying onboard for the next leg of the cruise, but it was doing exactly the same itinerary again, so we passed. Goods deals are to be had.

We spent 3 nights pre-cruise at the 5 star Santa Catalina hotel in central Las Palmas, Gran Canaria excellent.

Boarding 5/5. Very smooth and swift. At the dock, we were taken initially for a Lateral Flow Test and waited for approx 10 minutes for the result - negative fortunately. We did see one man escorted away, presumably he tested positive. Then a rapid check in and onto the boat. no queues at all. We were then taken for a swift safety muster drill and then to our cabin, where our cases were already waiting. The ship was refurbished a couple of years ago and looked immaculate everywhere. Only 202 customers onboard and 400+ staff. Not economic at this level I would think.
