We flew into Miami from London the day before the cruise and stayed close to the ship which meant it was extremely quick and easy for us to get to the port for embarkation. We were given a fixed slot to arrive and were then sent for a rapid Covid-19 test. When the rest of our party already had their results I was still waiting and as it transpired the tester had incorrectly recorded my email address however all sorted after about an hour of waiting. We were then transferred into another holding area and boarding finally began about 1.45pm. The ship staff were extremely welcoming and the ship was spotlessly clean. The majority of passengers wore masks when moving around the ship although a few of the concession staff did not.
We had a Sea Terrace XL cabin on the 12th Deck and had booked cabins next to our friends however prior to boarding we had been allocated different cabins on different sides of the ship. The cabins were comfortable. The separate shower and toilet as well as large sink area was great and the storage in cabin was excellent. The tablet controlled various functions in room and was useful. We liked the hammock on the balcony. Our room was promptly refreshed when unoccupied.
The ship was pretty empty as a result of the pandemic with only around 450 passengers were were told and double the number of crew so service was amazing. Staff could not do enough to help.
Excellent spacious cabin with hammock on balcony. Complementary still and sparkling water daily. Bed kept made up as bed which meant extra storage space underneath. Curtains, lights and TV controlled by tablet. Separate shower cubicle, sink area and toilet. Room always refreshed promptly by time we came home after breakfast.
We loved our day in Bimini. I enjoyed relaxing at the Beach Club and my wife enjoyed snorkelling with Sharks. Was a bit dull when we arrived but by lunch the weather was great and we very much enjoyed. The shuttle train driver was great fun too. He had us all singing “Who let the dogs out!”. Great fun.
Loved our time in Miami. Had 3 days there before flying home. Stayed in Miami Beach and found everywhere within walking distance. Great selection of shopping and restaurants. Would recommend Cuban Restaurant by Cuba Libre. Ate there twice. Free shuttle bus too. Bus to airport from South Beach was only $2.25 and took about 30 minutes. No hassle. If looking for a tattoo would recommend Sam at Salvation Lounge. Very kind, caring and atypical of a tattooist - not scary.
