What can I say right from landing in Dubai a mix up with childrens testing 6 hrs waiting with nothing to eat or drink before we could board and it only got worse. The food was lousy even the extras we paid for. Two days in we get a text from the home office asking questions about our 7yr old grandson. We thought this was some sort of scam as we had handed our passports over when we boarded.strange. Then 6 days in we test to go to the Grand Prix what a performance. Day 7 the day we were leaving to go to a hotel we receive a call telling us not leave our rm our 7yr old has covid in the mean time home office is calling us to speak to Tylan Mathews we explained is surname was not Mathews and it looks like some mix up. How strange we thought how does a child’s passport get a Dubai ID number for a resident of dubai mr Mathews. We were moved in to quarantine on the QE2 where myself snd one child was out in a rm my husband and another child in another rm. We were left with no window open and air con belting out. By day 8 I started to feel unwell I had no meds left and the lack of fresh air was causing a problem. After a lot of complaints they opened the windows so I blocked the air con with toilet paper. Day 10 I tested positive my husband and other grandson tested positive we had to do another 10 days. Day 19 my husband and two children could go home I tested presumed positive I had to stay. 24 days in quarantine had got the better of me. While here home office rang again for mr Mathews no one would listen to what we was saying. We eventually saw a doctor day 11 my husband got high blood pressure pills I was told they didn’t have my meds drink and eat. The doctor was very rude indeed . We had asked for a test for our 7 yr old also they said no.it was a nightmare and the people in charge of this ship and testing doctors the whole lot simply rude. When we returned we had our bloods done for antibodies and it shows the children never had covid and ours was equivalent to the vaccine. Looking at our 7yr old test paper the times were not right it says he had is test it went to lab and came back all before he had actually had is test. So my advice to anyone planning on going to Dubai and getting on this ship don’t do it.
