First the embarkation: I had priority boarding being in the Aurea category, I was the third person in line with two couples in front of me. I arrived at 12 (noon) and was finally checked in at 1 PM. This was not a good way for my first cruise on MSC. once I got on the ship, I realized the wrist band I was supposed to get at check in was not given to me. My sea card didn't open my cabin door, and Luckly my steward was there to let me in. I had to go to guest services and the line was about 40 people. Finally, after two hours I was able to get my wrist band. I also found out that MSC HQ in Fort Lauderdale where I paid for my premium drink package information never made it to the ship, so each time I went to get a drink, the bar said I only had the easy package and I had to explain that I have the premium package. So, they scanned my card and charged me $7.40 for each beer I had. I went to my room and now my wrist band did not open my door. I had to go back to guest services again, now I'm wasting my time and getting frustrated at how this cruise company operates.
I prebought the dinning package (don't waste your money) I found it was a joke of a package. Once you're in the restaurant you are limited on what is available, but... you can upgrade your menu for 50% of the ala cart price. How wonderful... not.
Rip off. The Toco restaurant drinks were not part of the drink package and I had to pay $40 for one shot of tequila and one beer. I couldn't believe how ridiculous MSC is. Buffet food was low level, the entire cruise. I went for breakfast and the sign above the counter said Omelets and eggs, so I asked for two eggs over easy, and the girl said "what" , can I have two eggs over easy? she said "WHAT" OH.... no eggs but scrambled, we have to go in the back to cook for you. Never mind. The food was not GOOD.
bathrooms very tiny, shower small and I'm 5'8" 200 LBS and could not turn around, toilet was up against the sink and you couldn't sit comfortably,.
