Cruise chosen for timing and for overnight in Barcelona. We were able to visit our daughter there without any time restrictions on the first day.
Boarding process a little stressful given we had no guarantee of our holiday until covid results proved negative. However, we were able to get to Southampton on Saturday lunchtime, having driven to Solihull from Scotland on the Friday and stayed overnight. As a result we were only a couple of hours between joining the queue in our car and boarding. With all the extra work required, and for multiple ships, it would be petty to even attempt to find fault.
First impressions of Iona were very positive. It is new, so looking spick and span should have been a given, but still it was lovely.
Everything we needed, and an improvement on our previous P&O experience a few years ago.
Some creaking on balcony on first couple of nights (from rough seas I think) but not too much of an issue. Teething trouble which can be fixed quickly I hope.
We loved the shower. Great water temperature and pressure whenever we needed.
Enough room in the cabin, pretty much as we thought it would be.
Interactive TV was decent, except in port when there may have been licence issues preventing normal operation?
Excellent fridge, kept things very cold when required.
Balcony roomy enough for the 2 of us, and chairs comfortable.
Fabulous big bed.
Enough room in double wardrobe and 2 full height shelving units for our clothes.
I'd have to be REALLY picky to find something to complain about.
