This was our very first cruise of any kind, having been an owner of a sailboat. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the cruise. We had been watching PBS for years, always seeing the ads for Viking River Cruises. And we were pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed this cruise. We kept looking for a great deal. When one came online, we jumped at the chance. The ship was impeccably clean. Our cabin was kept in pristine condition. The food was fabulous- large assortment to choose from. Every night we were eager to see what was on the menu. W were so impressed with the quality of all the food. The meats and seafood was so fresh and tender. Cooked to perfection. And presented beautifully. The fruits were flavorful and presented at their peak.The staff was there to cater to our whims, and the excursions were very informative. We will plan on saving enough money to take a river cruise in 2021. Can’t wait.
