Cruise was just the right pace for us. We extended 3 days in Madrid and Viking did a good job there. Hotel was very good and the transfers were handled well. We chose to do our own tours with local guides so I can’t comment on the Viking tours.

The ship was great. The cabin was immaculate. The stewards provided excellent service. The crew was professional, friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Enjoyed the port visits and the optional tours. The ship is small enough so that it is tied to a dock. Other ships in port had to dock in the bay and use a shuttle boat to go back and forth. In speaking to people on these other boats many complained about wait times. We did not have any problems like that with Viking. Some of the included tours were not much more than a bus ride but the optional tours were very good. Would have enjoyed more than an afternoon in Venice, but we knew that going in.

Food in all restaurants was excellent as was the service. The specialty restaurants were great. There were no extra charges for specialty restaurants. Reservations are needed but were handled very well.

Cabin Review

Cabin was excellent and made so by our cabin stewards. They were professional, friendly, very responsive.
