Don't think about going on Royal Caribbean cruise line unless you want to find hair in food and cloth napkins, flies crawling on food at the buffet and to top it all off biten by bed bugs and then by fleas. We started off our cruise by being excited to finally get away looking forward to 5 days off nothing but relaxing and fun. We arrived on ship and went to have a snack at the buffet while we waited for our room. When I unravelled my silverware I found a black hair on the cloth napkin. So I got a different set. Later that evening we went for dinner at the buffet and once again I got another black hair in the cloth napkin. 6 times in five days I received the black hair gift and twice in my food. My husband for breakfast waited in line for his omelet when it was his turn he asked the man for a 2 egg omelet but to please crack him two real eggs in the pan the man told him that the eggs that they had already in the bowl were real eggs my husband said I'm not doubting it I just like to see my eggs cracked in front of me the man kept telling him that the eggs in the bowl were real eggs and that it was those or nothing so my husband left without an omelet. next morning the same thing on the third day was different man he also told him the same thing. Then after a while the man said that he could make him 2 Sunnyside up eggs and put the toppings he wants on the side. We don't see what the difference is if he just scrambled them if he could do them Sunnyside up? When we were sitting at the table eating breakfast one of the person's who takes your dirty dishes and cleans the table walks past as someone had dropped some scrambled eggs on the floor he bent down and put his tray edge on the floor and took his pink cloth and wiped it on the dirty carpet to pick up the eggs shooked the eggs on the tray, wiped the carpet some more and then went to a table and wiped it off with the same pink cloth he just wiped the dirty carpet with. Everytime we went to the buffet for lunch or dinner there was always flies especially where the cheese was. We even told the workers and they said nothing not even swoosh them off. So we decided to eat only in the dining room. We ordered calamari for our appetizer we receive it ice cold so we both sent them back and asked if they could please make sure for it to be hot when we got the second calamari they were completely burned. one night there was a hair in our table cloth we told the assistant waiter and he came with his mini squeegi and tried to squeegi it off finally he took it off with his finger and threw it on the floor and then set our silverware on top of where he just removed the hair. Another time we were in the dining room and there was 4 dirty tables around us which remained dirty even when we were walking out but while we were there another server came over to one of the dirty tables and took off two glasses and placed them on a different table that they were setting up for new people. Now the fun part begins on the second day I noticed that the sheets had shifted and looks like they were falling off so I took the sheets off to straighten the bed when I saw the mattress pad was full of stains I showed my husband his eyes widen with disbelieve said what disgusting filth immediately he went in the hallway to ask who is the one who cleans our room when the man came we sowed him the mattress pad and wanted to know how they could even think about using such disgust. He said that he would contact the supervisor and get a different one for us and clean the room. That night I woke up itching my stomach I finally got up and went to the bathroom to see why I was itching. To my horror I see 3 black things on my stomach I pulled them off and set them on a piece of toilet paper put on my glasses to exam them and they had legs. So I woke up my husband and showed him he said these are bed bugs I showed him the bites where they were. we washed the bites and then I put Santi gel on them. Now who could sleep after that. We told the cleaning guy and he got the supervisor she came and looked at the bites and she took picture of the bed bugs to send to man to exam, she told us that they will thoroughly clean the room for us. My husband said no he wants to fly home but they said Costa Maya where we were supposed to be enjoying the day doesn't have an airport and they don't have a different room to move us to. My husband said for our safety and health that we were not staying in that room another night. We would take are stuff and sleep on the deck and tell everyone why we are here on the deck before we would sleep again in that room. The supervisor said to give her a minute she said they were going to move us to a different room. By this time it was too late to go down and sightsee so we decided to go and lay in the sun. while laying in the sun I started to get bit on my legs I moved and finally slapped my leg the people next to us asked if we were getting bit also. I finally killed a bug we all examined it and it was a flea. so we all left. While we were walking on the 7th floor we walked into this strong nose hair twitching smell we started walking faster but the more we walked the stronger the smell then we came across a plywood box that said for animals droppings we went inside to get away from the smell every once in awhile we got a wiff of that nose hair twitching smell. Obviously that box has never been cleaned. We went back again to see the ship doctor for them to look at the bites the first time no one there they said out for lunch the 2nd time they were medically debarkng someone and doc unavailable. How can you trust someone with your health when all they are doing is lying. First no room to move you then one magically appears when we begin taking our stuff to sleep on the deck, found no bugs in room but had three on me and bites to show with the pictures we took. We left the so called relaxing cruise with our stuffed wrapped in garbage bags biten by bed bugs and fleas only to have our stuff special treated to be sure no bugs or lavare in the clothes and suitcases and our vehicle fogged in case. when we called Royal Caribbean for our money back they said they can only give us their apologize. We could of stayed in the backyard enjoyed ourselves a few 6 packs and grilled something. It would of cost us alot less and have been more relaxing and wouldn't have the marks on my stomach from the bed bugs bite until now
