This was our third cruise with Viking, one river cruise, one Adriatic ocean cruise. The ship staff from the valet to the captain were outstanding. Always friendly & helpful. The ship was great, too. Easy to navigate with lots of amenities. The size of ship is perfect for the ports we visited during the cruise. The number of passengers is excellent without kids & needless entertainment. If you want casinos or shows, this is not your cruise line. The entertainment was outstanding. Excellent musicians & classy, comforting music. The food is consistently good, but after several days, the selection was getting limited. We ate at The Restaurant most of the meals, but also at Manfredi's where the food was outstanding. Bar area in Atrium on first deck is always fun. Now the excursions.

We have been to about half of the islands on the cruise so we did not select excursions for Tortola, St Kitts, St Martin/Sin Maarten or Barbados. For our second day in Puerto Rico we did the Ell Yunque Rainforest which was a good excursion. Guide was very good. We did not leave the boat at Tortula. At St Kitts, we taxied to the Carambola Beach Club instead of a cruise excursion. Relaxing time. In Dominica, we did the Freshwater Lake & Hot Pools excursion. Our guide was very good, but the lake & hot tubs were pretty disappointing. In Barbados, we got a taxi tour with another couple. It was one of our favorite onshore day having visited The Crane Resort at Crane Beach, a cross-island tour & a visit to the Sandy Lane high-end resort & golf course. Over the top in luxury! In St Lucia, we did a cruise excursion on a catamaran & lunch at The Ladera Resort which was over the top, too. Beautiful view of the Piton peaks & a great lunch. This was by far the best Viking excursions for the cruise. In Antiqua, we did the Amazing Antiqua cruise excursion. Our guide was very knowledgeable & friendly, but the tour was lots of boring driving. The Shirley Heights & Nelson's Shipyard were interesting. We have done St Martin so we stayed on the ship. Our last day was in St Thomas & we took a taxi to Megens Bay beach which was very pretty & relaxing.

Overall, a very enjoyable cruise. We will do more Viking cruise in the future.
