Although we have traveled extensively in Europe, we had never been to Greece. We chose this cruise because of the variety of countries we would visit. We had been on a Viking River cruise the year before and were very impressed with Viking. The food is great and the service is wonderful. A shout out to Madi, our cabin assistant, who made it such a smooth trip. We had a sticky sliding door and it was fixed the first day.

The food was fantastic. On the River cruise you have to eat in the dinning room. Even though you can order how much you want, you are still limited to the menu. On the Ocean cruise, we loved the Cafe. They served the same food as the restaurant, but you could get small plates of everything. I could get a choice of 5 appetizers, 5 salads, 5 desserts. With the small portions, you could try a little of everything. And as much gelato as you want. The wine selection on this cruise was excellent.

We have been very pleased with the included tours that Viking provides. They are usually walking tours of the cities and the guides have been excellent. We did purchase a few additional tours. The Minoan ruins and wine tasting in Santorini, the expanded tour of Corfu, and the Caves in Slovenia, Church of the Rocks in Montenegro. All were worth the money. We didn’t know how beautiful Kotor Montenegro would be. It would have been worth getting up early to see the view sailing into port.
