We chose this cruise because it provided an opportunity for us to visit cities and countries that we had never seen before. We had been on a Viking River Cruise before and was very pleased with the experience. We appreciated that the fees were all up front. The ship was clean, comfortable and the staff always polite and helpful. The service was impeccable.
We especially enjoyed the meals at the Restaurant and the Chef's Table but all venues were very good. Beer & wine were included at lunch & dinner.
Our cruise director was entertaining and very talented as well as her staff. The lectures were timely, interesting and appropriate for the cruise.
We appreciated that every port had an included tour as well as optional tours. The included tours were O.K. and the optional tours we booked were very good.
In Buenos Aires on debarkation day Viking set us up in a hotel banquet room till time to take us to the airport. We booked a private tour with local guide, Liz Andrea
As it turned our, she twisted her ankle the day before so her associate, Patricia filled in. We had an extraordinary time with Patricia, who customize the tour to our interests. She was very knowledgeable and took us to the spots we talked about as well as others that she thought we would enjoy. We particularly enjoyed the stories and the architecture in the Recoleta and La Boca. The rose garden was beautiful. We wanted to shop & Patricia took us to a small shop where we felt no pressure to buy. We asked if we could try the Mate drink. Patricia prepared one at the shop. We learned about the brewing process, the culture and custom as we sampled the drink, a.fun experience. Our tour was 6 hours & we felt it was well worth the cost, We had a pleasant, informative day. We would highly recommend Liz Andrea at email@example.com.
Our cabin was comfortable and clean. Drinking water was refilled twice a day and water provided for every excursion. The cabin was cleaned twice a day. Robes, slippers, binoculars and an umbrella were provided.
