We chose this cruise for the itinerary and island destinations. This was our first cruise so we only had online research to help us. Once we were onboard and speaking with other guests -most of which were Viking Explorers which means repeat guests- we knew how lucky we were to have chosen this line. No up-sell. No one in your face. Attentive service with amazing food. Every port included a free excursion which helped to educate the guests about the country, local population and tour some of the sights. The cabins all have balconies. Repeat, all. They are lovely with enough room to feel at home.

I admit, we had sticker shock when we saw the price compared to the discounted competition that floods the internet and our emails. Again, we learned what the Viking experience provided versus the unexpected pay as you go options. We enjoyed the adults only atmosphere with luxury spa facilities of which a large part were free to use as you wish. Specific treatments etc were pay as you go. The entertainment crew was creative and beyond talented. Something for everyone and at various times to suit personal schedules.

We will definitely choose this line and travel method again....they have so many options...
