We are previous Norwegian cruisers, and we chose this cruise to introduce some friends to cruising. We were very happy with our cabin, 8030, and very happy with Elias, our cabin steward, and with the ship overall. Embarkation and debarkation was smooth and easy. Entertainment was good, about the same as many other ships. We were very happy with Cagney's, the specialty steakhouse. Impeccable service, but we felt just a bit rushed. Now for the disappointments. The bar staff was disconnected and disinterested in actually making the passengers happy. The staff in the main dining rooms were both good, but the food they were serving was not as good as previous Norwegian sailings. The ship was roomy and clean, and the staff was knowledgeable and courteous, but important things such as announcements were lacking, in that the ships PA system was barely audible, distorted, and did not function at all in the cabins. The time scheduled in ports was too short, and it seemed like an alcohol induced drunkfest on Great Stirrup Cay, as there were many intoxicated people on the island. I know Norwegian isn't responsible for the behavior of their adult passengers, but this was a turnoff. Would I go again? Not this particular itinerary, but I would definately give Norwegian another try, probably on longer itinerary, and newer, larger ship.
A large, clean, well maintained cabin. We had an outstanding cabin steward named Elias.
Been here on previous occasions. The Kennedy Space center is a must.
Nassau hasn't changed much since we last visited. Many shops, selling wares that are just slightly above junk, and many drinking establishments, overselling to their clientele.
