We booked this cruise last year whilst on Voyager of the Seas in Asia. At that time we were asked if we were celebrating anything special and advised that it would be our 25th wedding anniversary during the cruise. It was our intention to renew our wedding vows onboard and we mentioned this when booking our flights with our Travel Agent. RCI acknowledged this during this second booking contact. However it transpires that this is no longer offered by RCI and to renew your vows, you have to purchase from the Wedding Package range (minimum $5,000)

Our main disappointment from this cruise was the complete lack of empathy or customer service when we challenged why RCI ask if you are celebrating something during the cruise and then choose to completely disregard the information provided. The colleague at Guest Services promised a bottle of wine and chocolate dipped strawberries when we advised that Princess Cruises gave us this when celebrating our anniversary with them. We got a bottle of red wine delivered to our cabin (which we gave to our waiters as we don't drink red wine). We are still waiting for our strawberries.

We also had an issue with Photo Services due to an error with my wife's Seapass card not showing her Platinum status which affected the discount on our phot package. Even although it was obviously an RCI error, the Photo Services manager would not over-ride the decision on the till to only give one set of discount. No proactive initiative shown by the manager.
