We chose Volga Dream over other cruises as the nights in both Moscow and Saint Petersburg were spent in 5* hotels in the city centres. We opted for the Platinum package for the smaller tour group and extra visits such as Faberge Museum and Gold Room in Hermitage. The sight seeing tours in both Moscow and St Petersburg were excellent. Both our guides were excellent and being in a small group we often had priority over larger groups visiting museums and palaces. The provided lunches on the city tours were very good with one exception. Transportation in the minivan was always door to door. The sightseeing days did involve up to 8-9km of walking in total.

The cruise ship although an old has been well modernised and is a pleasant environment. The staff without exception were a delight, helpful and charming. The food was very good and served dinners were beautifully presented and the wine flowed. Professor Ludmila was brilliant giving interesting relevant lectures each day with such enthusiasm and was very interesting to chat to at mealtimes. Other on board activities such as language lessons and cooking class were fun. The excursions were well organised with local guides who were generally excellent. Sadly we missed our first stop at Uglich due to fog preventing navigation for some hours

Airport transfers went smoothly and we had an amazing time. Thank you Volga Dream.
