As a first time cruiser I did not know what to expect, so I was excited when I first saw the ship as was my son (aged 6). Was glad that we were able to check in our luggage early but the wait to embark seemed to take forever, although very organised. Once on board the ship we were directed to have lunch. My son and I just wanted to see where our room was and was not completely happy about being told to come back later in the afternoon (I guess the room stewards didn't want you to watch them clean). so as a first timer on a cruise they were handing out cocktail which I assumed was a complimentary welcome aboard drink but realised after that you paid for it (no big deal because I'm on holiday). The boat had a very nice ambiance to it.
