We chose this cruise line for the itinerary. But that did not make up for the terrible experience we had before and during the cruise. We had many smaller issues, but I'll stick with the three biggest.

#1 - I paid for the cruise upfront, but MSC didn't book me that way and I didn't notice they hadn't charged my credit card. Shortly before the cruise they emailed that they had canceled our booking. When I called, they said I hadn't paid and this is their standard procedure - to just cancel with no notice. Luckily I was able to rebook.

#2 - On two separate phone calls, they offered me a cot for my toddler to sleep on. When we arrived in our cabin it was not there. In talking to the reception desk staff, one man told me my daughter should just sleep in bed with my husband and I. After quite a bit of complaining, another woman was able to move us to a room with a pullout couch.

Balcony Stateroom

Rooms are smaller than many other cruise lines.

Port Reviews

Roatan

Private car and the driver was very accommodating to whatever we wanted to do.

Costa Maya

Air conditioned bus, which was nice because it's pretty hot and a fair amount of walking. Knowledgeable guide.
