Family cruise celebrating mine and wife's 70th birthdays. Cruised with two adult children and four grandsons. Best part of cruise were the specialty restaurants. All were excellent. Worst part was Epic was overcrowded. Ship rated for 3900 passengers but there were 4700 on board. Garden buffet so crowded often difficult to find place to sit. Food was good though. Also the Epic ship itself was poorly designed. Hard to get around. No where to walk. Fitness center not centrally located. Had to walk through pool area to get to center. And the cabins; cramped, poorly designed. I'm 5'10" and my feet hung off the edge of the bed. Norwegian has gone the way of airlines in shrinking the cabins in order to squeeze more people in. Totally uncomfortable . On a seven day cruise, 5 plus days were spent at sea. St. Thomas was a half day and nothing there except dozens of jewelry stores. Very disappointing.
I plan to try Norwegian again on another ship. Some of the above mentioned problems were due to circumstances caused by spring break. But seriously, the Epic should be taken out to sea and sunk. It would be better used as an artificial reef!!
Totally terrible. Cramped, poor layout. Sofa uncomfortable and totally useless because of placement in cabin. Bed too small. Feet hung off end.
