Booked the best of India and Sri Lanka at very short notice and with a great discount in the sale. This is our third Celebrity Cruise. The other two were on the Eclipse to the Baltic and on the Xpedition to Galapagos.

This cruise was not in the same class. The ship is very dated with depressing brown decorations everywhere. I can look past this as it’s overdue a refurb which is planned shortly. What I can’t overlook is the aggressive sales strategy which is invasive throughout the ship. Seems to be a glorified shop on the sea! You are targeted for an upscale at every opportunity. Salesmen even visiting your table while you dine trying to sell various upscale dining events.

The food standards have dropped massively even in the Specialty dining where two steaks were inedible. The main cafe area was like a scrum most days with some variable quality. The battered fish was so bad I saw many dishes being returned.
