Living in Florida makes it much easier to cruise. We have left out of Miami, Tampa, and Port Canaveral with no issues. Judging by some of the reviews commenting on the disembarkation process I would recommend getting off the ship no later than 7:30 as we had no issues at all, in fact we were in the car in less than 15 minutes from the time we got in line. Friends who tried leaving at 8:00 had over an hours wait due to the long lines. Along with several others I also had an issue with the short bed. I am 6'3" and found the mattress to be way short however it was quite comfortable especially compared to previous cruises. We found the upcharge restaurants to be very nice especially Le Bistro which was our favorite. We also dined at Cagney's and La Cucina and enjoyed both the food and the service. The Cirque Dinner Show is highly recommended, and yes they can accommodate any special food requests you might have. Priscilla Queen of the Desert was over the top but keep in mind it is for adults, a fact that is made quite clear with signs as you enter as well as several warnings prior to the start of the show. That being said about 25-30 people got up and left (with their children in tow) as they apparently could not read nor hear the advance warnings of the shows content. So sit back, relax and enjoy your cruise!
Enough has been said about the shower and bathroom layout which is not like you find on any of the other Norwegian ships. As mentioned the bed was on the short side however the balcony on the aft facing cabin was quite large compared to what is normally found on balcony cabins. Room steward was exceptional and quite attentive.
