  3. Majestic Princess
We loved the itinerary, but were so disappointed to find that our excursion had been cancelled last minute by Princess with no offer to help replace it. So we were on our own in Wellington. Then the ship had a delay with fog in Dunedin and could not dock an hour later because the tides were too low for this immense ship. The one Princess excursion to Waitupo and Rainbow Springs that was not cancelled was excellent! We also loved the Milford Sound fiords day. The entertainment on the ship was also very good, with Magic, Encore, and musical productions. It’s important to get there at least 30 minutes ahead if you want a seat though. Restaurant service in Anytime Dining was good with Ferdie as our favorite waiter. We were also extremely frustrated with erroneous bar charges that took multiple trips to the desk over several days, along with phone calls. Each time we were assured that it was corrected only to find that was not true. ( We had ordered just two glasses of wine one night but were charged for six!). These were finally corrected just an hour before we debarked. All of this left a very bad taste with Princess! We have never experienced problems like this on other cruises including Norwegian, Holland America, Gate One, or Azamara. We have already scheduled future cruises with Azamara and Celebrity, and will probably not sail on a large Princess ship again.

Good itinerary, but cancelled excursions last minute and erroneous charges

Cabin Review

Balcony
Cabin BA A409
Nice cabin, but lacking amenities like daily body lotions, stationery, envelopes, etc that we had on other lines.
Riviera Deck Inside Cabins, Balcony Cabins, Suite Cabins

After hearing about the Viking problem in Norway, we have to really compliment our Captain! He saw th forecast for th Tasman Sea for 30 foot waves, and then steered the ship north to go around the storm. We had very little turbulence and arrived safely in Tasmania two days later.
