We booked the bus through RCCL again from our area in PA,about 1.5 hrs.from the port but with parking @$19/day,tolls,gas and aggravation it was well worth the $100/person. There wasn't as long a wait in the parking lot to board as last year. The lines moved fairly fast, our stateroom was ready by 1:30 and we were eating lunch in the Windjammer by 2:00. Our stateroom was adequate and always clean.I somehow made a serious mistake when booking. We were almost at the back of the ship,a long walk to the elevator !! Our friends were upgraded to a gorgeous Jr. suite on 9Th deck forward several weeks ago.We were happy[and jealous] for their good fortune ! The sea days were wonderful, calm sea and sunny everyday.Since we had 8:30 dinner we'd take advantage of the thinning crowds and go to the pool later in the afternoon, usually in the solarium. The Meet & Mingle was fun.If you're new to cruising I'd recommend registering for it.It's always nice to meet new people and see them here and there throughout the cruise. Be sure to see the Ice Show. We didn't see it last year .The times didn't work for us.We had seen one on another ship two years ago. We used room service a few times for breakfast. The menu is limited but having morning coffee on our balcony is always wonderful.Dining room breakfast was fast and always good.We usually caught lunch in the Promenade Cafe which has great sandwiches, desserts, pizza, coffee and fruit 24 hrs. a day. We were seated at a table for eight at the balcony rail on the 4Th deck.We sailed with another couple but enjoyed conversation with the other four table mates. One couple was on their 91st RCCL cruise so they had lots to share both good and bad. This was our 8th cruise with RCCl in the past 10 yrs. and we've noticed cuts in some of the former perks but not enough to deter us from sailing again with RCCL.The food quality and choices for dinner weren't as good even compared to last year. We had some really bad tough steaks three times. Our waiter was great but his asst.needs to find another position! After the first two nights the cocktail server came BEFORE dinner. We ate in Portofinos on the last night. The food was wonderful, the service average, but well worth the extra $20/person.The food quality was what used to be consistently in the main diningroom.

Cabin Review

Cabin D-1

The cabin had adequate storage,a good queen size mattress, sliding shower door, two outlets at the desk, safe and small frig which is nice to keep fruit and cheese trays, etc. for later snacking if you don't feel like walking or waiting for something to eat.Balconies are always a must for us.We made sure there was no connecting door like last year so it was very quiet through the walls.
