Chose this cruise to sail on the Bliss plus good time of year weather wise for Eastern Caribbean. We flew into Miami the day prior to sailing which is highly recommend in case of flight or airport delays. Ubered to port. When we arrived we were met by an attendant who checked our luggage and were directed inside where we were checked in and issued our room keys. Norwegian is very efficient in moving so many people quickly. We boarded around 1 pm with a sail time of 4pm. We had time to check out our cabin and explore the ship before sailing, none of the shops open til after sailing. Food was prepared and ready in the Garden Cafe ( Buffet) and was great. They always changed main course in the evening so you have a variety. The Manhattan, Taste and Savor restaurants are also complimentary, more upscale than buffet, food was wonderful. They have about the same menus, but try them all. The Local is complimentary, but it’s located in open area on deck 7, usually a band playing or game shows going on, seating available but noisy. We saw the Jersey Boys, Havana and Happy Hour Prohibition. Was surprised at the talent. Jersey Boys singing was incredible but language pretty rough. The talent was very good in rseionHappy Hour but not really worth the $35 per person. They gave you 5 drinks during show but they were simply awful. Jersey Boys and Havana were complimentary. My family enjoyed the pool and spa. Played laser tag, rode go carts, shopped and enjoyed the casino. The pool is on deck 16 which is open and there is a hot tub on deck 17. Shops were nice but they really push jewelry and paintings onboard so be ready to get in on sales seminars. My son and daughter in law did a scuba excursion In Tortola and said it was phenomenal, and they had a excellent guide. We loved walking around deck 8 or sitting in observation lounge. There was always a seminar, game show or craft class going on. My son in law won the karaoke contest on the last night of cruise, they did karaoke nightly in Cavern Club. All in all, great cruise, great ship. Simply beautiful! This is for smokers ONLY: you might want to consider another ship if you’re a smoker. Only 2 smoking areas, deck 17, which is way too crowded and small an area. In the evening usually a band playing there so add too noisy also. They have a smoking room in the casino but it doesn’t have the selection of machines they have in non smoking. Cigarettes aren’t allowed in Cigar Lounge.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BD

Very nice cabin. Had 2 electrical outlets on dresser, didn’t see more but that was sufficient. Cabin well equipped with coffee pot, hair dryer and shampoo and body wash dispensers in shower. Enjoyed the balcony, great to sit out and relax. I hope to never sail without a balcony, if you splurge on anything choose the balcony. Newsletter showing next days events is left in your cabin at night, and usually a towel animal which was a real treat and we looked forward to them. I can’t say enough about how nice the room stewards are, they always had a smile and spoke.

Port Reviews

Tortola

My son and daughter in law took a scuba diving tour and said it was phenomenal, also they had an excellent guide.

St. Thomas

We got a taxi and had him drive us around the island. Was very interesting and we got to see more than the tour busses, highly recommend doing this.

Nassau

Very crowded, 5 cruise ships there so was very hard walking through shopping area. Not impressed with shops, very commercial overpriced and cheap looking merchandise.
