Was a 12 day cruise out of New Orleans, which we like to sail from. Same ports we have been before, but for relaxing it was just what we wanted. The ship overall is in excellent condition, but it is a big ship that can hold over 5000 passengers. Numerous dining options and bars thru out the ship, of course all at a cost except the main dining rooms, which are better than average in my option and the food very good. Embarkation and disembarkation of course is a nightmare with that many people, and NCL needs to realize that as long lines are very much all over. The other issue is the ship has 16 elevators, 8 in the front of the ship, and 8 in the rear of the ship, not to say BACKUP at both embarkations. Disembarkation was ridiculous as the line snaked around, and colors were continued to be called when we waiting in line over 40 minutes to disembark while more groups kept getting called. Ship is in great service, crew is great, although some crew members were not as happy as expected, but the balance of the crew was friendly and more than helpful and accommodating. If you are handicapped in a scooter, wheelchair or walker, expect issues in the hallways while the room stewards have their carts in the hallways; might consider a cabin at the end of the hall. There were many times when announcements could have helped situations, but outside of the standard events, bingo, art auctions, etc., outside of the Captain's daily announcement, you are kinda left in the dark. Entertainment was better than expected with many options from comedy to Cirque and other shows. Casino was large but not arranged in a very orderly fashion as the tables and slot machines blocked many aisles, especially when crowded around dinner time or after.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Large Balcony

Cabin M6

The cabin we chose was 8118, which was all the way forward down a long hall over the Theather. While the walk was a hike, the room was excellent in size 2 people, awesome shower in large bathroom, and the real major factor was the much larger balcony. The balconies in the other mini suites on upper floors have the same size balconies as all the rest. Small would be my estimation, as two chairs barely fit, whereas our suite had two chaise loungers, two full size chairs and a large table, excellent for breakfast.
