For a new ship it was rather underwhelming, the about to be remodeled Royal Caribbean ship I went on 11 years ago was more impressive. It felt like most things were geared toward those in the Haven. Also to have the added fee for the entertainment that did not include things like alcoholic beverages was ridiculous for me. When I cruise one thing I have come to expect is good entertainment comes with the cruise. So unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy any of the shows that were put on in the Bliss Theater besides the movie Jurassic World, Fallen Kingdom in 3D. There were a lack of activities to do, besides ones that were going to have an additional cost to take part in. Plus the atrium was often to small for the entertainment that was worth attending. A large disappointment for several people we were on the cruise with was the fact they never got a chance to go on go-carts. Not sure why there was a reservation process for go-carts. That is really any activity that would be better done by stand-by only.

The pool area felt like everyone was stacked one on top of the other and the music was unnecessarily loud, that my husband and myself never bothered to go there. That was extremely disappointing because the pool is always one of the places I want to go first. To make matters worse the way the pools were set up was crazy to me. In the main pool area the larger main pool should not be adult only.

The largest disappointment of the entire cruise was the food and the service that went with some of it. To start do not advertise that there are three "different" complimentary dining options with "different" styles of food, when they all end up having the same menu. The first night we went to Savor with two other people. It took two different people and a ridiculously long time for two of us to get alcoholic beverages. In addition, almost every time we went to a sit down place, whether it was specialty or not, if there were more than two people everyone did not get their food at the same time. In some cases half the table would not receive their food until the others were basically done with theirs. If the other half were to have waited for all the food theirs would have been cold by the time they ate it. We have never waited so long in any restaurant as we did every time we did not go the Garden Café, which was self serve.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BC

Our cabin was to be expected, nothing special. The biggest disappointment for my husband was how small the balcony was. We stayed in the same type of room on Royal Caribbean, which had a much larger balcony. Additionally the glass on the balcony railing was never clean once. It always looked dirty.

We could never hear any of the announcements made over the speakers because by the time the television would load and we could get it to the correct station the announcement would pretty much be over, if not over.

The television was barely worth turning on. The amount of adds between movies was beyond ridiculous! We babysat our niece one night, so her parents could see a show, and with all the ads that played between the movies she would get bored.

The shower was a nice size and liked the adjustable shower head, however the fact that the toilet would never flush drove me up a wall. Someone should not have to try five time plus before the toilet actually flushes.

Only real highlight of the cabin was the service we received, the gentleman that took care of our room did a great job.
