We booked this cruise solely based on the fact that they dress up their private island for Christmas as well as the cruise ship. We were so disappointed and the cruise for the most part was then no different than any other cruiseline. Disney doesn't even offer you a credit towards another cruise to make up for it. Then when we got back I heard this happens quite often which is very upsetting. The food in the buffet was just ok, they never changed it up at all. We loved the evening dining rooms and the wait staff was excellent. Animators Palate was really neat both times we were in there. Our daughter loved seeing the Disney characters, but if you weren't in line 15 mins from the time they came out you missed them. Our daughter is 2.5 yrs old so she was bored in the nursery but not old enough to join the other kids in the Oceaneers Club or Lab. Then it seemed like all of the open houses were scheduled early in the morning or during her nap. Our child is not an early riser so it was harder for us to make it to things. I do believe Disney is backwards with the whole swim diaper thing...the pool and aqua lab was closed several times due to "potty trained" kids dropping dueces all the time. At least swim diapers keep it from touching other people and I heard other parents were just not putting swim diapers on their kids so they can take them in the pool whether they were potty trained or not.
Our cabin was beautiful and had plenty of room. Loved having a tub to give our daughter a bath. The extended balcony was amazing! She had so much room to play while we enjoyed the view. We had bedrails put on the couch that turned into a bed and our daughter slept great there! Also, love that they have a dividing curtain so we could put her to bed and read.
Still recovering from Hurricane but the docking area is nice...the downtown was frumpy.
