This was our second voyage with Norwegian. Our first was on the Dawn in November 2006 which, unfortunately, never made it to the Bahamas due to mechanical problems. The Pearl made up for that fateful voyage a thousand times over. We flew into Miami the day before sailing and stayed at the Sofitel Miami Airport Hotel, which is very nice plus the beds are very comfortable. We chose this hotel because it provides shuttle service from the airport and transportation to the port. We spent the day relaxing and anticipating sailing on Saturday.

Embarkation: Embarkation was a breeze. Once we got through security we were off to the VIP lounge for check-in, which took less than 10 minutes. We were escorted on board and to our cabin.

Let me start by saying, the ship is BEAUTIFUL. All areas are clean and tastefully designed. They are extremely health conscious...there are hand sanitizers and crew members with spray for your hands everywhere...KUDOS to NCL for keeping their passengers safe.
