We have traveled on Viking Ocean cruises and Viking River cruises and they never cease to amaze us of how they can be so consistently well run. The cabins are always well maintained, spacious and comfortable. The onboard staff are terrific, they meet you once and they remember your name for the whole cruise and we even met some that remembered us from a previous cruise that remember our name. The airline lost my wife's luggage and it kept going back and forth from Amsterdam to Bergen, like four times until it finally caught up with us in Amsterdam on day four. The staff was very helpful, they did her laundry for free every night and some offered her the use of some of their cloths.
The food is exceptional, plentiful and served correctly. We like the World Café for breakfast where there is a huge selection of traditional and ethnic food available. Another plus is the free wine with lunch and dinner.
Most of the people on all of the Viking cruises are older but that does not mean less active. No kids on board is a plus. Embarkation and disembarkation are handled very well. I could go on and on of how we love Viking but I guess you get the idea.
Great cabin, we usually like deck 7 or 8 but we booked to late to get those decks.
