This is our 5th cruise on NCL and definitely would say this was our best ever! The ship was amazing and after sailing on the Getaway and Escape, I would say NCL really got it right with the Bliss. It is a very sophicated ship - the new lounges (both on 15 and for Haven guests on 16) are amazing and a well use of space, the location of Le Bistro makes much more sense and the close-off of the smoking section of the casino has made a huge difference in limiting smoke smell in the main areas of the ship. The atrium remains "the heart and soul" of the ship with many of the activities held there. Seating is still a challenge so anything NCL can do to address that would be most welcome. Silas and Jacky from the cruise staff are the best and truly set the tone for the cruise. It was a very fun cruise and we all had a wonderful time! Our cabin was great (see below).
Food was outstanding except for La Cucina. It was fine but they seemed to have moved away from traditional italian menu options and heard a number of other cruise guests complain about La Cucina. I suggest go back to what works and stick to more traditional menu. Cagney's is always the best! Haven restaurant was great.
Entertainment was outstanding and enjoyed by my entire family. The Havana show is a must see and Jersey Boys will not disappoint. The various shows/programs held throughout the ship were a ton of fun and as mentioned above, Silas and Jacky really created a fun and inviting envirnoment.
Wonderful room. Very spacious and tons of storage. While we did feel a bit disconnected from the rest of the Haven guests given we did not stay in the Haven main area, our room was amazing and had much more space than a Haven courtyard room. Our Butler, Kelly, was outstanding. I was a bit worried our butler service would not be as good since we were not staying directly in the Haven area but honestly, this was our best Haven butler experience ever.
