I choose this cruise as we have always used Carnival, and never any issues. However, this cruise was disappointing. Before we had left for the cruise we entered the ship and rooms were not ready so they sent us to express lunch, so we went to have a bite. There was water on the floor in the Lido deck inside one of the waitress islands and my husband slipped and twisted his knee. I found a officer to report and I had saw a crew member wiping up the water and did not put up wet floor sign. After I spoke to the officer, he instructed the young crew member to clean up the wet floor again, and made sure he placed a floor sign. He took our name and cabin number, My husband went to the doctors on board only to find they did not take any insurance, and we waited for a while and no doctor, nurse or anyone came to help us. So we left. In the first stop was Bahamas, and we went to a pharmacy to purchase a knee brace thinking he can get some relief. the doctor should of been around to help. Next the food on the Lido deck was not appealing at all. We cruised the Splendor last year, and the buffets always looked fresh and appetizing, this was complete opposite of the Conquest, the lido deck or the bar-b que place either. Guys and pizza joint were life saving. The Monet dining room, well that was another story, menu did not change much every nite, nor did the desserts. And the coffee had to be from the morning. It was road tar, when I told the wait staff, they said I will bring you hot water to make it drinkable. The service was slow, that you could never make the 1st comedy show. They forgot half of your meal or brought out the wrong food. Very disorganized. The rooms were clean, however they were hot. The refrigerator never got cold enough for wine to chill. I think it is time to recondition the Conquest. Never again will we sail that ship. Activities were great, and the excursions we had pre-paid were good. Too bad my husband did not fully enjoy them due to the knee injury. Our next cruise we will try Royal Caribbean, or another. Very disappointed for the cost.We are yearly cruisers. Now we need to see a orthopedic doctor for the knee injury. Thanks Carnival, way to treat a person who slipped on your ship, from crew lack of experience.
