We absolutely loved this cruise, the Adriatic the first week and the Aegean the second week. A few places we had been before as in Venice, Split, Dubrovnik,Santorini, Rhodes and Bodrum, others like Koper in Slovenia, Kotor in Montenegro and Chania in Crete we hadn’t visited before. We treated ourselves to a Junior Suite with a balcony this time and it was worth every penny, we wouldn’t settle for anything less next time. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from, we used the Islands buffet most mornings which offered a great selection of cold and hot food, in the evenings we chose to eat at 47 Restaurant where we had some lovely food and were waited on by Aleksander and Tomas who were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Our cabin stewards were Rega and Milos who did an excellent job in keeping our cabin immaculate, nothing was too much bother for them. The entertainment was fantastic, very professional. On going ashore, we did our own thing as it suited us to do that though there were many shore excursions available. The only grumble we had, and it’s a very small one, was that the bars were understaffed - it nearly always took a long time to be served. However, we had all the time in the world, so it didn’t really matter that much though I believe lots of other people felt the same. All in all, we had a wonderful time and hope to book another cruise on Discovery 2 in the future.
Fantastic - spacious, spotless, plenty of wardrobe space and very comfortable. Included a TV, fridge, kettle, coffee maker and hairdryer. Coffee and tea were replenished every day, sometimes twice a day.
